Before I bore you with random information that you probably don’t care about, we’ll get right to the point: Atlanta pics are up. Even if you don’t check out the whole gallery, make sure you say leave a comment for Elizabeth after viewing her lunch.

This past weekend Shawn, Brooks and myself visited Busch Gardens to ride the new rollercoaster SheiKra. (Don’t ask me why there’s a capital K in the middle of the word, because I’ve got no clue). The wait was a solid hour and a half, but considering that the ride had just opened the previous day, I guess that’s not so bad. The wait was long enough, though, that I felt motivated to skip out of line and go snag an adult beverage, then jump back in line–yes, I’m one of “those” people.

The ride was pretty good, but not quite what I expected. Maybe the trip to Six Flags spoiled me a bit. SheiKra has an initial drop that’s almost 200 ft, and after going on Acrophobia @ Six Flags–which is only 160 ft–I thought the extra 40 might be even better. Alas, twas not. SheiKra will be more fun, though, when the wait is a bit shorter. So no, I won’t be giving away my season pass just yet.

In other news, I’m looking forward to a camping cabin trip this weekend at Myakka River State Park. The group that’s going promises to be a good time; it’s also Normandy’s birthday, so I’m sure things will be off da heazy fo sheazy.

I’ve had a few comments on the website so far, and they’ve been fairly positive. I can’t take all the credit, though, because in reality a couple of trained monkeys dragons could probably do this. But seriously, it’s WordPress and Coppermine that are doing most of the dirty work. If I get some time, I’m going to try designing my own WordPress/Coppermine template, but in the meantime this will suffice.

On a related note, I just don’t have the space/bandwidth to host good quality pics as well as ones that are viewable over a dialup, so if you don’t have broadband, I suggest you stop being a cheapass and get DSL or cable.

Oh yeah…and see that little linky just below this block of text that says “Comments (0)”…well that’s for you to leave a Comment…fancy that. You don’t have to register, and you don’t even have to be who you say you are. Just say something. I appreciate it.
